The virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is thought to spread mainly from person to person
• between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet) and
• via respiratory droplets produced when someone who is sick coughs or sneezes.
You can help prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses like COVID-19 by following simple daily precautions and social distancing.
