Pain due to a urinary tract infection is commonly accompanied by fever, frequent urination, accidents and abdominal or back pain. Young girls who are feeling well but complain of burning with urination may have irritation of the skin that contacts the urine.
If the child looks well call our office at 206-368-6080 within 24 hours.
If the child is vomiting or has a high fever call our office right away. Increased intake of oral liquids, especially cranberry juice, may also be helpful.
